actually did this a few days ago, all at once...but I couldn't motivate myself to write the story that belongs to this image. But now, it's done!

... and a kangaroo
Late Summer , Year 759 of the New Age
Windborne, somewhere near the Main Herd
A whispering wind flitted over the plain. The grass crouched down to the ground to escape its could touch. Late summer – Feli loved this time of the year. She loved to hunt the wind, to try to catch it. But she also feared it. As much as the fawn enjoyed playing with a gentle breeze, she feared being trapped by a heavy storm. And heavy storms loved this time of the year as well.
A little gust of wind hustled Felurian and asked her for a run. She couldn’t resist and joined the race. She felt like flying, like being the wind. She felt free. She felt, as if nothing could stop her. Happiness filled her little fawnling heart. Nothing could ever be faster than her – but that wasn’t true.
A dark shadow approached, was suddenly next to her. A shadow, just as fast as her, maybe even a little bit faster. Just a little bit. Feli glanced at her new companion and saw a well-known friend running next to her – or rather bouncing.
It was a kangaroo. Feli had actually never talked to her bouncing friend, but short time after she joined the Main Herd she met her for the first time. That time Feli saw the strange creature jumping over the plain and wondered how someone moving that strange could be that fast. She approached curiously but also nervously. The Kangaroo looked at her and smiled challenging. Felurian couldn’t resist and so their first race together started. Both of them tried to beat the wind – both lost. And without speaking a word, they became friends.
Since that day they met more or less regularly. And every time such a meeting happens, they go for a run together. Last time, Feli lost. She was so close behind the kangaroo but she lost. This won’t happen again! Feli thought and stretched her long slender legs. The little doe nearly flew over the dry plain, next to her hopping rival. No, this time she wouldn’t be the one to loose! Her heart beat was so loud in her own hears, her eyes teared and she could barely see her surroundings. They came in an area with a little higher grass and this limited Felis sight even more. And suddenly – the race was over.
The race was over. Feli fell over something hidden in the grass. She touched the ground painfully. Plain and sky changed places, again and again and again. Everything hurt. The kangaroo was gone. Everything Feli heard was “What the…?!”
